As we bid farewell to the year 2023, we express our gratitude to those who dedicated themselves in visible and invisible ways to the house church and church ministry throughout the past year. We would like to introduce the new ministry leaders for the church ministry in 2024.
For the 2024-25 church operations committee, Shepherd IlHa Lee will serve as the chairman, and Shepherd Jacob Kim, Shepherd SangEun Lee, and Shepherd ByeongGuk Ko will serve as the executive members. Shepherd ChangDae Kim, who served diligently as the chairman for the past two years, has completed his term, and Shepherd ByeongGuk Ko will now serve as an executive member (As per the Elder committee's vote).
For the 2024-25 ministry leadership team:
- House Church Ministries Ministry: Shepherd ChangDae Kim
- Worship Ministry: Shepherd DeukGyo Jung
- Kitchen Ministry: Shepherd BaekHan Lee
- Missionary Ministry: Shepherd SungMoon Jung
- Love and Care Ministry: Shepherd SungWon Jung
- Management Ministry: Shepherd HoIn Hwang
- New Family Ministry: Shepherd ByeongGuk Ko
- Education Ministry: Shepherd IlHa Lee
- Administration Ministry: Pastor YoungOk Yoon
Each department has team leaders, and there are designated teachers in the education department. ANW members are affiliated with specific teams.
Member congregants have duties and responsibilities in church ministry. Upon becoming a registered church member, one must participate in church ministry as part of their house church affiliation and ministry department. Registered congregants are expected to introduce themselves, including their house church name and ministry involvement, in situations where self-introduction is required. For example, "I belong to the XXX house church, and I am involved in the XXX ministry." If one is not yet involved in a ministry, they cannot strictly be considered as a registered member. Church ministry is not exclusive to registered members; a church attendee (but not yet a registered member) can also participate.
Last week, we distributed ministry application forms for those willing to commit to ministry in 2024. If you are already part of a ministry, you do not need to reapply. However, if you are not yet affiliated with a ministry, please join one. Some may have applied for ministry but are unsure of what to do or lack a clear plan. Ministry team leaders, please create group chats to facilitate active engagement in ministry. For larger ministry departments with many members, creating team-specific group chats would be effective.
Word of the week
Please submit the names of your house church for the Lunch preparation service in the first half of 2024 by the upcoming Sunday. House churches with fewer members, even through collaboration, are encouraged to participate in the meal service. For other Sundays without house church participants, the administration will randomly assign house churches.
