God has created us in a truly diverse way. It seems that God delights in this diversity. In the diversity that God has created, there are introverted and extroverted individuals, those with strong opinions and those who are meek. Some enjoy teaching, while others prefer physical work. We are all different in various ways.
However, God has brought together such diverse people to live in a community, desiring that they live in harmony, cooperate, and strive for the life He desires. So, how can we live the life God desires for us within this diverse community?
In Ephesians 4:11, it says, "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers." It is important to first know who we are. God has given each person talents, especially to those who believe in Jesus, so we need to understand what God has given us. Knowing the talents and gifts God has given us is crucial because it allows us to contribute to God's kingdom joyously when we utilize what God has given us.
Gifts are not something we obtain through effort; they are God's gifts. And these gifts are not given for self-boasting or hoarding but for using them in service. I hope that each of you will use the gifts God has given you in service to the community, serving others and contributing to the well-being of the Church as the body of Christ.
By cooperating and accomplishing good, God, who works through your service and dedication, will continue to build His kingdom. The spiritual growth and maturity of each individual around you will follow. Today is Ministry Dedication Sunday. Instead of just watching and thinking someone else will do it, I encourage everyone to actively participate in any ministry, at least 1 ministry per person, no matter how small. Let's all contribute to building a healthy community, the body of Christ.
