What is the "Receiving Jesus Meeting"?
The purpose of the church’s existence is to focus on the Great Commission that Jesus gave to His disciples before His ascension. The Receiving Jesus Meeting is a gathering that helps VIPs (non-believers) accept Jesus and receive baptism, fostering a church culture centred on saving souls. To help you better understand what this meeting is, here is a brief summary:
First, the Receiving Jesus Meeting helps non-believers come to faith in Jesus. For those who already believe, it provides assurance of salvation or helps them reaffirm their faith. Some people attend church but lack confidence in their salvation. This meeting allows them to gain that assurance. That’s why everyone who registers as a member of the church is encouraged to attend at least once.
Second, the meeting provides a time for participants to confess with their mouths that Jesus is their Savior and Lord. Romans 10:9 says, "If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." New believers may not immediately feel faith in their hearts, but when they first confess with their mouths, God allows them to believe in their hearts. The Receiving Jesus Meeting is a time to open one's heart by confessing Jesus with their lips.
Third, the Receiving Jesus Meeting is a time to experience the work of the Holy Spirit. As I lead these meetings, I have witnessed unexpected moments where VIPs, who initially had no intention of believing, suddenly confess Jesus as Lord with tears in their eyes. This shows that the Holy Spirit is at work in both the leaders and the participants.
Lastly, the Receiving Jesus Meeting allows the community to experience the joy of soul salvation. Our church holds the Receiving Jesus Meeting on the last Sunday of every month. House churches pray for and serve VIPs so they can participate in this meeting. When a VIP accepts Jesus, the entire community rejoices and celebrates together. It is a joy beyond words, shared by the whole church.

Let’s keep the Lord’s Day. Christians do not refer to it as "Sunday" but rather as "the Lord’s Day" or "the Lord’s Sunday". The Lord’s Day is the first day of the week and a day dedicated to worshiping the Lord. Keeping the Lord’s Day has been a cherished tradition of believers because they believed that if they could not keep the Lord’s Day, they could not keep their faith either.
