God’s people, the Israelites, received much blessings from God by His grace. He sent His people and rescued them in times of crisis and led them to victory in numerous battles. Despite this, the Israelites forgot about God’s grace and gave way to sin every time their lives became rich.
Crisis of faith starts from forgetting about God’s grace. We must try harder not to forget His grace when all seems well and we are content with our lives. Remembering God’s grace is the strength we need to maintain our faith.
Passage: Jeremiah 2:1-8
7 I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.
8 The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the Lord?’
Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
