It is natural for people to come back up again when they fall and to return if they have gone astray. But for the people of Jerusalem, they continued to leave and were not willing to come back. They insisted on lying and going astray and did not realise that they were doing any wrong.
We must boldly stop sinning and fixing our eyes on the world but live by fixing our eyes on the Lord who is always with us.
Passage to read: Jeremiah 8:4-12
4 “Say to them, ‘This is what the Lord says:
“‘When people fall down, do they not get up? When someone turns away, do they not return?
5 Why then have these people turned away? Why does Jerusalem always turn away? They cling to deceit; they refuse to return.
