The foolish people worship idols made by human hands from God’s creation. They ask the lifeless statues to bless them and their future. The wise man believes in the Lord, the King over all creation. They know that our God knows what we need before we ask him and that he fills up all our needs.
Nothing can be compared to the Lord, our living God, the Almighty. The futile idols can never bring true peace and the future we ask for. Let us not be the fools who pay waste time and finances to worthless idols, but confess in faith that our God is the only one who saves, and our hope is in him.
Passage: Jeremiah 10:1-11
6 No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.
7 Who should not fear you, King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise leaders of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you.
8 They are all senseless and foolish; they are taught by worthless wooden idols.
