A covenant is a commitment or an agreement between two contractors.
God tells us that He has faithfully kept His promises to His people. He led His people to the land of Canaan so that they could enjoy the life of abundance as He promised them. But the people continued to ignore the word of the covenant and lived their life as they saw fit and according to their own will.
God repeatedly warns His people through Jeremiah to keep the word of the covenant again. What is God repeatedly telling me to obey that i’m not obeying today?
Passage to read: Jeremiah 11:1-8
7 From the time I brought your ancestors up from Egypt until today, I warned them again and again, saying, “Obey me.”8 But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubbornness of their evil hearts. So I brought on them all the curses of the covenant I had commanded them to follow but that they did not keep.’”
