We live what’s called a ‘life of faith’.
What is a ‘life of faith’? It is a life depending on God and following Him. And this requires a lot of effort.
Therefore, Paul pleads with the Philippians in verse 1, to ‘stand firm in the Lord’.
As Christians, we must make an effort to do certain things and that is to try and be of one mind as Christians and to help others.
And we must try to show everyone through our actions that those who believe in Jesus are good and kind.
However, this is not easy, and that is why we must stand firm in the Lord.
Let us pray today to rely on God.
‘Lord, please remove all evil from me and fill my heart with goodness.’
Passage: Philippians 4:1-7
1 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!
2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
