In Exodus chapter 32, Aaron, the high priest commits a huge sin of making a golden calf and through this, around 3000 people die.
He would have been overcome by a sense of guilt and failure after this.
However, God does not abandon Aaron after his failure, but uses him for His work once again.
He commands Aaron not to follow his own ways but God’s ways.
God does not leave our failed lives as they are but wants to renew them.
What we need for this is a heart of obedience that does not sway from left to right but obeys completely.
When we obey God completely, we will earn a new heart that overcomes our past failures.
Passage: Leviticus 9:1-14
6 Then Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.”
7 Moses said to Aaron, “Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people; sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.”
