The book of Leviticus contains numerous rules and regulations that explain how we can be holy. They explain how those that have become unclean can cleanse themselves of their sins and become holy again.
If they are unclean, God who is ‘holy’ cannot be with them and even if He was with them they would be at danger.
God teaches through the law that the Israelites must become holy in order for God to walk with them.
We don’t need to follow the rules and perform sacrifices like the Israelites.
However, we do need to become holy to walk with God.
Let us depend on Jesus’ blood today in order to have a deeper and closer relationship with God.
Passage: Leviticus 12:1-8
7 He shall offer them before the Lord to make atonement for her, and then she will be ceremonially clean from her flow of blood.
“‘These are the regulations for the woman who gives birth to a boy or a girl.
8 But if she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
