If we look at the bathroom ceiling, we can easily find mold which grows in our homes.
These start as a small dot but start to expand and cover the whole ceiling.
This was unlawful in the Old Testament times, so when there was mold in the house, it had to be removed through a chief priest.
This sounds like a story about our own minds.
Just like a small mold can contaminate the whole house, a small mold of sin can contaminate the entirety of our minds.
Before our minds go through serious decomposition, we need to remove that mold of sin.
Go towards Jesus, our high priest. When we give ourselves up to God, He will come into our hearts, remove the mold of sin, and renew our minds.
Passage: Leviticus 14:33-57
33 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
34 “When you enter the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, and I put a spreading mold in a house in that land,
35 the owner of the house must go and tell the priest, ‘I have seen something that looks like a defiling mold in my house.’
