Obeying God’s words is the way to protect my life.
Satan wants God’s people to live away from God. He uses pop cultures, social issues, politics and other various issues to make us unknowingly stand against God and deceives us with false truth to cease us from living a holy life.
We must hold on to the word of God in order to remain awake and unperturbed in this age because living as what God says is the only way to protect our lives from this evil world. The word of God gives us the right insight and knowledge which allows us to distinguish the good from the evil. Therefore I hope we develop ourselves to be the holy people of the Lord, protecting our faith by putting effort in reading and learning the word of God
Passage: Psalms 119:57-72
66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.
68 You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.
