There must have been many donkeys in and around Jerusalem at the time. Among them, the donkey that carried Jesus on its back was a colt that was brought by his disciples. The donkey was probably not used to carrying people so it may have struggled along the way. But Jesus used a donkey that was in a way clumsy and fragile. And like this, the Lord still wants to use us, who are clumsy and weak like the colt.
I hope we will be able to live a blessed life today by letting our Lord use us when He asks by obeying Him saying “Amen” rather than saying “I can’t as I’m incompetent.”
Passage to read: Matthew 21:1-11
1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,
2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me.
3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
