Upon taking office as the 2nd Head of the Oceania House Church Ministries
Upon taking office as the 2nd Head of the Oceania House Church Ministries, I organized four goals and directions for the ministry to be carried out during my three-year term. I ask you to pray with me.
First, it is a joyful ministry through House Church. I thought that the first thing I had to do as the head of the Oceania House Church Ministries was to pray so that the churches belonging to the House Church could have joyful ministry. Whether it is for a pastor to minister or for a shepherd to shepherd, it is difficult work in itself. This is because blood must be shed to give life. However, the reason we can confess happiness is because we are doing valuable work for the restoration of the New Testament church. I will encourage and pray for you so that you can maintain that spirit until the end and lead a joyful ministry.
Second, it is a House Church movement led by the group. House church has been developed by outstanding leaders like Pastor Young-ki Choi. Pastor Young-ki Choi said that from now on, the House Church movement should be led by a group of leaders, not by individual leadership. We will make sure that the Oceania House Church also becomes a House Church movement led by a group of leaders.
Third, we will establish a model House Church. The Oceania House Church was established as a model church as several House Churches in Sydney grew together, and through its power, 10 local shepherd Churches were established by serving and helping other regions. However, there are many small and weak House Churches in Oceania. The challenge that must be overcome is to first establish House Churches served by local shepherds as healthy model churches. That is why local shepherd churches can serve as hubs for the expansion of House Churches.
Fourth, preparation for the future of House Churches. Churches and pastors in Oceania are also aging. To prepare for this, it is necessary to provide ways for young pastors to be exposed to House Churches and to expand House Churches to second-generation English-speaking Koreans and English-speaking churches.
