Preparing for the House Church Seminar for pastors
The 308th House Church Seminar for pastors is approaching, scheduled from Tuesday, September 24th to Sunday, September 29th. This seminar will include 26 pastors and their wives from Sydney, Fiji, New Zealand, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Among those coming from Fiji, some are anxiously waiting for their visas, which have not yet been issued. While our church is devotedly preparing for the seminar, the participating pastors are also joining with earnest hearts. We pray and hope that everyone involved will return with a strong conviction about biblical church principles through our service.
The House Church Seminar is unique in that it does not only provide theoretical knowledge but also offers opportunities to see and learn from actual practices. The power comes from directly experiencing and observing firsthand. Therefore, accommodations will be provided in the homes of the shepherds. Participants will learn about house churches by attending village meetings, house church meetings, and Sunday corporate worship.
For the pastors’ house church meeting visits, the pastors are requesting house churches suitable for their needs. House churches that will be open for visits should review and prepare their meetings in advance. Please check if the meetings are conducted according to the house church manual and whether the designated roles are being fulfilled. Also, consider inviting VIPs to the house church meeting on the day of the visit. For the Sunday corporate worship, we plan to hold baptism in the first, second and ANW services. Please inform us of the baptism candidates by this week.
House Church seminar for pastors is a task that pleases God, as it helps build up the church by supporting pastors. It requires significant dedication and energy. Therefore, I am praying for great grace and blessings for those who are devoted. We believe in the promise of Matthew 6:33, that when we live for God's kingdom and His righteousness, all these things will be given to us.
One more thing to remember is that when engaging in work that pleases the Lord, evil spirits also work against it. Therefore, continuous prayer is needed during the Three-stranded cord prayer meetings and afterward. We must remain vigilant to ensure that our words and actions are not used as tools of the devil.
Word of the week
Starting tomorrow, we will have a three-stranded cord prayer meeting. Three people will form a prayer group and pray together. Please place any prayer requests that you would like the pastor to pray for in the intercessory prayer box, and also place any answered prayers in the same box so we can be informed.
