It will be done as you say
The new year, 2025, has arrived. When a new year comes, I pray and decide on a verse for us to live by throughout the year. For 2025, I have decided on a verse about the importance of our words. The verse is Numbers 14:28, “So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say:”
When God created humans, the greatest gift he gave them was speech. So, we think, communicate, and express our thoughts through language. Words do not just function as a means of communication. Just as God created the world with words and Jesus performed miracles with words, our words have unimaginable energy of life.
If you stretch the Korean word for speech and pronounce it, it becomes “ma~~~al”. Expressed this way, in Korean, it becomes an abbreviation for the phrase “the core of the heart”. In other words, words are something that expresses what is in the heart. A person who speaks kindly is a person who has kindness in their heart. On the contrary, a person who uses harsh words is a person who has harshness in their heart. If we say positive things, our lives will move in a positive direction, but if we say negative things, we may not realise it straight away, but it will lead to negative results.
Like this, words (language) are very important in our lives. However, there are times when we say things without realising its importance. The words I use inadvertently represents my personality. Not only that, those words determine the rest of my life. This is because God said He will act on what He hears us say. People who have the habit of speaking nicely not only enrich their own lives but also make people around them happy. However, people with negative speaking habits unknowingly make their own lives miserable and make it difficult for those around them.
I look forward to all of us experiencing change and miracles in our life by correcting habits of using negative language and practicing using language of life throughout the year.
Word of the week
The new year, 2025, has arrived. The verse we will hold onto in 2025 is “I will do to you the very thing I heard you say” (Numbers 14:28). I hope that you will keep the Word in your heart, train in it, and experience the blessing of saving people and making the world beautiful.
