Although God showed His existence to His people through the history of Israel and His will through the laws, it shows in today’s passage that the people of Israel were cut off from God and therefore could not communicate with Him. This is because they took God’s words lightly.
We cannot avoid the fiery judgement if we take God’s words lightly.
I hope that today we do not take God’s grace and love lightly but we continuously communicate with God with a heart of gratitude and strive to live today according to His will.
Passage to read: Jeremiah 5:10-19
10 “Go through her vineyards and ravage them,
but do not destroy them completely.
Strip off her branches,
for these people do not belong to the Lord.
11 The people of Israel and the people of Judah
have been utterly unfaithful to me,”
declares the Lord.
12 They have lied about the Lord;
they said, “He will do nothing!
No harm will come to us;
we will never see sword or famine.
1.Did you think about Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2.What is God’s message to me?
3.What do I need to be obedient to?
4.Write a list of thankful prayer points today.
