          • God’s Heart and Jeremiah’s Heart

God’s distressed heart upon seeing the life of the people of Judah seems to have been sent directly to Jeremiah.
The people of Judah lives a life where they lied to their brothers, slandered their neighbours and their lips were used to lies.
Jesus laments upon seeing them living as if they do not know God, as if they do not want to know God.

Upon seeing the crimes committed by his brothers, Jeremiah was also sad and distressed. It was to the point where he wanted to live alone in a desert where no one else was. However God does not give up on them and passes on his aching heart.

How do you think God and Jeremiah’s hearts felt as they saw people full of sin? I hope we pray to have a heart like God and Jeremiah.

            Passage: Jeremiah 9:1-9
1 Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.
2 Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?

            2. What is God’s message to me?

            3. What do I need to obey?

            4. Write a list of thankful prayer points.
