The end of King Salom and King Jehoiakim, who lived self-centred lives full of sin and evil doings, were miserable. However King Josiah, who lived a life for God, listened to the problems of others and understood the hearts of people who were oppressed, leading to him being called ‘someone who knows God’.
I hope we leave a self-centred faith, and live a life where we serve God’s Kingdom and our neighbours around us.
Passage: Jeremiah 22:10-19
15 “Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.
16 He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the Lord.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
