          • Crisis of Faith

As we live as Christians, sometimes our faith is healthy and sometimes it is not. When the state of our faith is healthy, we have spiritual sensitivity, and we live understanding God’s Word. However when our faith is unhealthy, we become spiritually insensitive, meaning we live without understanding and following God’s Word. Each time this happens, hardships are given to us, turning us back to God.

However when the state of our faith is unhealthy but nothing happens around us, we need to feel the sense of crisis of faith. Like today’s passage from Jeremiah, the people
of south Judea do not think big of their unhealthy faith statuses, and try to fix this through worldly methods. This leads to their destruction by judgement in the future.

When our faith is not healthy but there are no problems in our lives, we need to ask for God’s intention as soon as we can. It may look like there are no problems in our lives, but our faith may be in crisis.

            Passage: Jeremiah 25:1-14
6 Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them; do not arouse my anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you.”
7 “But you did not listen to me,” declares the Lord, “and you have aroused my anger with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.”
8 Therefore the Lord Almighty says this: “Because you have not listened to my words,

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?

            2. What is God’s message to me?

            3. What do I need to obey?

            4. Write a list of thankful prayer points.
