The greed and selfish desires of the human being’s heart led to the creation of idols that could be physically seen and touched. This is still ongoing due to the greed in our hearts.
However, those are lifeless and incompetent things. Even though it has a mouth, it cannot speak and it has eyes but cannot see. In the end, those who serve and worship lifeless idols will fall together with the idols.
But our God who is always alive and almighty is working in our lives. He is the God who speaks to us and hears our little groans.
Am I creating by own idol due to my selfish desires and greed?

2 Why do the nations say,
“Where is their God?”
3 Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.
4 But their idols are silver and gold,
made by human hands.
5 They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.
