A lot of people say it is too difficult to overcome sin.
And most people live their life as their own master where their hearts are filled with sins such as hatred, unforgiving heart, lust and stubbornness. The key to overcoming sin is asking the question “who is my master?” When we are our own masters we can never overcome sin.
If we are in this state, our spiritual path to God will also be blocked and we will feel oppressed in every aspect of our lives. Then what can we do?
There is only one solution, it is to come before the only High Priest, Jesus.
We need to sincerely repent and bring our numbed hearts towards sin to Him.
And at that time, you will be able to let go of the sin that lies deep inside your heart and experience a radical change that Jesus is the master of your life.
Passage to read: Leviticus 16:23-34
33 and make atonement for the Most Holy Place, for the tent of meeting and the altar, and for the priests and all the members of the community.
34 “This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites.”
And it was done, as the Lord commanded Moses.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
