When I was in the army, I would wait for my parents’ letters.
The training I received was tough but I remember getting a lot of courage and strength from their letters because they remembered me and was waiting for my return.
As such, God’s Words can be like a comforting letter.
Our lives can be full of suffering and despair, but when we read God’s Words that encourage and comfort us, it gives us strength and courage to overcome hardships.
In spite of our busy lives, I ask that you take a moment to meditate on God’s Words before starting the day.
I am confident His Words will protect our hearts and give us great comfort today.
Passage: Psalm 119:41-56
48 I reach out for your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your decrees.
49 Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
50 My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
