I often remember what my father used to do before bed- he would turn on a sermon and fall asleep listening to it.
I didn’t understand why he did this at the time, but now I am doing the same.
Falling asleep meditating on God’s Words is such a sweet thing.
When I am deeply engrossed in my meditation, I can feel God’s comfort and I often end the day this way.
Try keeping God’s Words close to you at the beginning and end of day, and God, who observes our hearts, will reward us with new strength.
Passage: Psalm 119:145-160
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word.
148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
149 Hear my voice in accordance with your love;
preserve my life, Lord, according to your laws.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
