The young rich man had a scarcity mindset, thinking that if he spent his money, he would lose it. Our lives are not to save lots of money, but it must be a life of thinking about how to spend our money well.

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
