The Lord told Prophet Zechariah, “Rejoice and shout for your King comes to you.”
The King that is to come to Jerusalem is a just King, the King of salvation, who will proclaim peace to the Gentiles, and whose reign will extend from sea to sea. He also said that he will come riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey because he is gentle.
He is Jesus Christ.
We know this Lord, but at the time, the Israelites would not have known the King that would come to them. But the Lord promised that the King will come and save and He will also give Israel a double blessing.
Let’s be thankful for Jesus, our saviour, the humble King who came to us. Also let’s rejoice. I hope you will believe that He is the only one that can make us shine like a jewel.

9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
