The grain offering, sacrifice given through my life
The grain offering that is turned into fine flour is an ancestral rite in which grains symbolizing the character and life of Jesus Christ.
The fine flour used for the grain offering is only made through a carefully selected process. Harvested grain is dehulled, ground in a mortar, sifted, and presented to God only as a very fine powder. It is said that leaven and honey should not be added to the meal offering, but salt should be added.
Just as fine flour becomes a holy offering that is offered to God through the process of endlessly crushing, endlessly breaking, endlessly pounding, and grinding, our lives must be presented as extremely holy things.
What must be constantly be broken and broken in me in order to change into the character and character of Christ?
Passage to read: Leviticus 2:1-6
1.”When anyone brings a grain offering to the Lord, their offering is to be of the finest flour. They are to pour olive oil on it, put incense on it
2. and take it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the incense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.
3. The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the Lord.”
