The priest had to constantly light the fire on the burnt offering altar so that it would not go out. They had to light firewood every morning and watch it with all their heart so that the fire on the burnt offering altar would not be extinguished even if it rained or winded. The priest guarded the burnt offering altar day and night to make sure that the hearts of the people who gave thanks and love to God by making atonement for their sins and offering fragrant offerings would not be extinguished. Even if rain and wind blows in our lives and darkness comes, I hope to keep the fire of love and gratitude toward the Lord through the Word and prayer.

12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it.
