The priests were to be those who were set apart as holy to God, not to defile themselves and not to dishonor God's name, and to strictly observe the rules of priestly life. The priest of the holy office who offered sacrifices to God wanted to show God's holiness through a strictly distinguished life and set an example for God's people. It's hard to keep holy on this land. The music playing on smartphones, TVs, and shopping centers, and the indiscriminate advertisements on the walls... with obscenity and lies, these things try to make us fall. I hope to be God's holy people who distinguish sin and keep holiness based on the Word and live as the light and salt of the world.

4 He must not make himself unclean for people related to him by marriage, and so defile himself.
5 “ ‘Priests must not shave their heads or shave off the edges of their beards or cut their bodies.
6 They must be holy to their God and must not profane the name of their God. Because they present the food offerings to the Lord, the food of their God, they are to be holy.
7 “ ‘They must not marry women defiled by prostitution or divorced from their husbands, because priests are holy to their God.
8 Regard them as holy, because they offer up the food of your God. Consider them holy, because I the Lord am holy—I who make you holy.
